winter 2015 21 West Virginia Banker Wanted! 2016 will mark the 125th anniversary of the founding of the West Virginia Bankers Association and we have a lot to celebrate. In addition to celebrating the successes of our members in building West Virginia’s businesses, communities and neighborhoods for more than the last century, we will also be commemorating Joe Ellison’s retirement as WVBA CEO and celebrating the transition to a new leader of our organization in Sally Cline. Accordingly, our theme for 2016 and our Annual Convention at The Greenbrier will be “Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future”. Your bank’s history is our history and we need YOUR help in assembling the photos that represent the collective stories of our lives. If you have photos of significance in the history of your bank, please share them. If you have photos of major projects or activities from the communities where you operate, please share them. And, if you have photos (embarrassing ones too) from past WVBA Annual Conventions that will be fun or poignant for everyone to see, please share them. Photographs from the past 125 years! You can send digital photos to tconway@wvbankers.org, or you can ship or bring original photographs to the WVBA o ce where they will be scanned and the originals returned toyou.Whensubmittingphotos, pleaseprovide information, such as the names of the people, the location, the bank name, the date taken and the name of the photographer, if known.
